Each Season of the Outstanding Maternity Award is unique, and we were honoured to be joined by such extraordinary judges. We wrapped up the final Season of the year with great success. The Outstanding Maternity Award, created in 2014, recognizes photographers from around the world, celebrating international talent and excellence.
This Season, photographers from Australia, Brazil, Canada, England, France, Germany, India, Italy, Luxembourg, Russia, Spain, Ukraine, the United States, and Cyprus were honoured with this prestigious award.
Living in a cold climate, they bring a unique warmth to photography; an empathy and kindness that have become the hallmark of their artistic work.
JaNa is the artistic duo of Jafar and Nasim, life partners and the heart behind JaNa Photography in Vancouver, Canada.
Originally from Persia, Iran, they began their journey in 2009, creating timeless newborn and maternity portraits. Their passion for photography has taken them far, with more than 100 international exhibitions across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and North America.
For two years, Jafar and Nasim traveled the world by bicycle, organizing photo exhibitions and planting 100 trees along the way as symbols of peace, friendship, and care for the environment. Today, those trees stand tall, more than a decade old.
When they returned, they made Vancouver their new home and relaunched JaNa Photography. Before long, their talent placed them among the top three maternity and newborn photographers in the region. Jafar is known for his delicate newborn portraits, while Nasim shines in maternity photography.
They were excited and honoured to have joined the judging panel for Season 38, continuing to share their love of photography and celebrate the creativity of others.
